GLOBAL GRANT. BUDGET : USD 72.000. Join us to empower Lives through Digitalization: Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua's Groundbreaking Project

Digitalizing Orthotics and Prosthetics for Puspadi Bali

  • Introduction

The Rotary Club Bali Nusa Dua is embarking on an innovative project to benefit Puspadi Bali, an organization dedicated to providing orthotic and prosthetic devices to those in need. This groundbreaking initiative involves the digitalization of the conventional production process through the use of advanced 3D scanning and printing technology.

  • Advantages of Digitalization

By embracing this cutting-edge approach, the project offers a multitude of advantages over traditional methods. First and foremost, it significantly reduces production costs by a remarkable 50%. This cost reduction allows Puspadi Bali to allocate resources towards expanding their reach and serving a larger number of individuals seeking their assistance. Moreover, on-site scanning can now be conducted even on remote islands, eliminating the need for clients or their guardians to travel to Bali, thereby saving valuable time.

  • Environmental Impact and Enhanced Comfort

Furthermore, digitalizing the production process has a positive environmental impact by minimizing waste and reducing ecological footprint. This eco-friendly approach aligns with our commitment to sustainability. Additionally, the use of advanced technology enhances the comfort of the users, ensuring that the orthotic and prosthetic devices fit perfectly and provide optimal support.

  • Vision for the Future

Our vision for this project extends beyond the present. By fully digitalizing Puspadi Bali, we aim to empower them to produce world-class orthotic and prosthetic devices at a lower cost and with greater efficiency than ever before. This transformation opens up new opportunities for the organization to offer paid and profitable services to others, positioning Puspadi Bali as a trailblazing revenue-generating social enterprise.

  • Budget and Timeline

To realize this vision, the project is funded through a generous Global Grant. The budget is divided into two phases. Phase 1, with an estimated cost of USD 56,700, covers expenses such as scanners with laptops, 3D printers, consumables delivery, installation, training, and service. Phase 2, estimated at USD 15,500, involves the acquisition of an additional 3D printer. The total project budget amounts to USD 72,200.

The timeline for this transformative endeavor spans 30 months. Phase 1 is anticipated to take 20 months, during which the foundation for digitalization will be laid. Phase 2, projected to be completed in 10 months, will witness the full integration of advanced technology. By the end of this timeline, Puspadi Bali envisions providing high-quality orthotic and prosthetic devices more efficiently and effectively, revolutionizing the lives of those they serve.

  • Conclusion

Join us on this remarkable journey as we revolutionize the orthotics and prosthetics sector through digitalization. Together, we can empower Puspadi Bali to make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals in need, offering them better mobility, comfort, and independence. Let us transform the future of orthotic and prosthetic care, one step at a time.
