Rotary is addressing the root causes of conflict, including disease, through various initiatives and projects. Some examples include:

  1. Supporting access to healthcare: Rotary provides funding, resources and volunteers to support local healthcare initiatives and improve access to medical care in communities.

  2. Eradicating diseases: Rotary is one of the leading organizations in the global effort to eradicate polio and has also taken on initiatives to combat other diseases like measles, tetanus, and tuberculosis.

  3. Improving maternal and child health: Rotary supports programs to improve maternal and child health, reduce maternal and neonatal mortality and improve access to family planning and reproductive health services.

  4. Supporting disaster relief: Rotary also provides support to communities affected by natural disasters, conflict and other emergencies, by providing medical care, clean water, food and other essential needs.

By addressing these root causes of conflict and promoting health and well-being, Rotary helps to create more peaceful and stable communities around the world.

Being a member of an Intercountry Committee (ICC) can provide a Rotary club with the opportunity to participate in international service projects and cultural exchanges, as well as connect with other Rotary clubs from different countries. 

Additionally, being part of an ICC can help a club gain a better understanding of global issues and cultural perspectives, which can enhance the club's ability to serve its local community. 

 Furthermore, being a member of an ICC can increase a club's visibility and reputation both locally and internationally. 

Being a member of the BELUX – INDONESIA Inter-Country Committee will give you access to the ICC ASEAN which consists of 11 countries - Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
